My Thoughts-
I found the book enjoyable. In reading the book, I felt that there were a series of essays combined together. There were many interesting facts that I was unaware of such as the inventor of the mouse trap and the definition of a Study. It reminded me of a history text, but more interesting and entertaining. There were illustrations and Photographs throughout the text that depicted what the author was discussing at the time. Mr. Bryson included a great bibliography and an index but I wish he would have used footnotes at times. I have never read any of the author's books before and I look forward to reading A Walk in the Woods. So would you like to win a copy of this book? It is Easy.
Thanks to Knopf-Doubleday, I am able to give away two copies of this book.

This sounds like a wonderful sort of escapist book where you can picture yourself walking through seeing everything through the author's eyes and in his voice. Thanks for the review!
