GIVEAWAY AND REVIEW OF IN FREE FALL BY JULI JEH

In Free Fall: A NovelIn the book In Free Fall by Juli Zeh, two physicists begin a dangerous dance of distrust. Friends since their university days, when they were aspiring Nobel Prize candidates, they now interact in an atmosphere of tension, stoked by Oskar’s belief that Sebastian fell into mediocrity by having a family. When Sebastian’s son, Liam, is apparently kidnapped, their fragile friendship is further tested. Entrusted with uncovering the truth, Detective Superintendent Schilf discerns a web of blackmail, while at the same time the reality of his personal life falls into doubt. All the action takes place in Germany and Switzerland and many lives are intertwined in this fascinating crime drama.

A child is kidnapped but does not know it. One man dies, two physicists fight, and a senior constable falls in love. In the end, everything is different . . . yet exactly the same.” —Prologue

About the Author-

JULI ZEH’s debut novel, Eagles and Angels, won numerous prizes, including the German Book Prize. She has worked at the United Nations in New York and Krakow, and currently lives in Brandenburg. In Free Fall is her second book.

My Thoughts-

The story was a little hard to follow in the beginning and as it progressed, I was able to understand the storyline fully. It was a quick read and the characters were interesting. There was a lot of information about physics in which I was unfamiliar with. I have not taken a Physics class in high school yet but I found the book quite interesting. Good crime fiction novel full of twists and turns.

  2. As I've started reviewing more books, I've rediscovered an interest in crime fiction novels - thank you for your review, as I usually don't follow through with a book if I'm finding it too hard to follow at first - glad to know it gets easier!
