My Thoughts:

This is a great source for learning how to use the newest social crave. the book will show you how to set up your profile, boards and how to share your "Pins" with your friends.  I was a bit confused in the beginning but the book has made Pinterest very easy to use. There are so many ways to use the sites and you can link the site with Twitter, and Facebook so your pins can be shared and you can follow new members. I especially liked the chapter on etiquette because there are rules to be followed so everyone can benefit from the service. So if you are confused get yourself a copy and you will become a pro in no time.

REVIEW OF THE GIFT OF GOOD AND EVIL BY G. MITCHELL

The Gift of God and Evil revolves around a young girl, Megan, who struggles in life to hide her strange and frightening gifts of foresight and power of suggestion from her friends and family. Megan fears that society will reject her for being different, and later in life she learns that her gifts have a higher purpose.

About the Author:

A native of Texas, Ms. Mitchell has three children: Stephanie, Bobby, and Elisha. Ms. Mitchell is a medical technologist at the University Health System. She is also the author of In My Sister's Shadow.

My thoughts:

I have always been a fan of paranormal suspense but this book falls short. The idea behind the story was very imaginative and I was looking forward to reading it. Due to the lack of character development, grammatical errors and poor story flow, I found it hard to finish but I persisted. I like to read a story where I can connect with the characters and feel like I am right there with them experiencing the action but I felt disconnected from the story. I did enjoy the ending but it did not make up for the poor editing. I hope the author will continue to write in the future and develop her writing skills.

Both of my kids are graduating high school in June and I wish I had had this book while they were growing up. It is full of tips to make your life easier and less stressful.

In the first new Don’t Sweat the Small Stuff book in nine years, Kristine Carlson shows how moms can live with less stress and more happiness. My Thoughts:

What a fantastic book full of interesting and relevant tidbits that can make your life easier. When I get stressed, I take a deep breath, close my eyes and reorganize my thoughts. This allows me to tend to the crisis that may be unfolding before me. The book was easy to read, and each chapter touches on a subject that affects us today. I always wanted to be a perfect mom and I have learned from experience that may not be possible. Chapter 1 touches on that subject and reminds us that you do not have to be perfect to raise kids today. There is a handbook for almost every topic but I have never found one appropriate for parenting that was written in a way that was easy to follow and understand. Don't Sweat the Small Stuff for Moms is concise and right to the point. It is the perfect book for the mom to be and will help them start on the road to parenting.
