KOHL'S CARES BOOK REVIEW AND GIVEAWAY

CONTEST CLOSED

Thanks to Kohl's, I got to review 2 great cookbooks that is being offered through the Kohl's Care program. The program supports children's health and education programs nationwide. Do you find it hard to find new and interesting recipes for Lunch and dinner? Then Kohl's has some great books for you. Each book can be purchased at Kohl's for $5.00 each and all proceeds go to benefit children.

Wilbur takes readers behind the scenes of big-name restaurants like Olive Garden, Applebee’s, and Outback Steakhouse, revealing the key ingredients and tricks of the trade they use to keep diners coming back for more. The book will feature 150 recipes that everyone will enjoy.
Forget takeout—with these fun recipes and blueprints, all using ingredients you can buy at your local supermarket, you can re-create your favorite restaurant signature dishes right in your own kitchen.
Childhood obesity is quickly becoming epidemic, and one look into the average lunchbox shows why: high-salt, high-fat, and high-sugar convenience foods rule the day, setting kids on a dangerous path towards lifelong health problems. Changing these bad habits starts with making simple dietary adjustments. Designed to maintain kids’ energy throughout the school day, these 100 immune system-boosting recipes include healthy sandwiches, soups, salads, and wraps—even delicious cookies, cakes, and other yummy desserts! Each easy-to-follow recipe is accompanied by a wealth of nutritional information, as well as clever tips for preparing multiple meals ahead of time, and time-saving food storage ideas. Some 100 color photographs show how the foods should be prepared, and give presentation ideas that will appeal to kids of all ages.

My Thoughts-

Both of the books were very organized and the recipes were easy to follow. We recently had the Southwestern Egg Rolls at Chili's. My family liked them so much that I wanted to make them at home. The Top Secret Restaurant Recipes 2  provides all the steps necessary to make them. There are so many recipes in the book that you can find a dish for any occasion.
Do you have kids and do not know what to feed them for lunch? Then The Top 100 recipes for Lunch is perfect for you. The book is loaded with great suggestions and recipes that even the fussiest eaters will enjoy. I am always trying to find healthy and tasty food for my family to eat and both the books will help me do that.
