CONTEST AND BLOG TOUR OF A MEMORY BETWEEN US BY S. SUNDIN

Memory Between Us, A: A Novel (Wings of Glory)In the book A Memory Between Us: A Novel (Wings of Glory), Major Jack Novak is injured in a plane crash and ends up in the hospital. There he meets army nurse Lieutenant Ruth Doherty who is a beautiful and intelligent woman. He has never failed to meet a challenge and he wants to win Ruth's heart. Ruth is a very dedicated nurse and must work to care for her orphaned siblings back home. She has a shameful secret to bear that prevents her from giving her heart to any man. Can Jack break down her defenses and help her with her problems? A Memory Between Us is the second book in the WINGS OF GLORY series, which follows the three Novak brothers, B-17 bomber pilots with the US Eighth Air Force stationed in England during World War II.

About the Author-

Sarah Sundin followed an unusual career path for a novelist, receiving a bachelor's in chemistry from UCLA and a doctorate in pharmacy from UC San Francisco. She now lives in northern California with her husband, three children, an antisocial cat, and a yellow lab determined to eat her manuscripts. When not driving kids to soccer and karate, she works on-call as a hospital pharmacist and teaches women's Bible studies and fourth- and fifth-grade Sunday school. She has been writing since 2000 and belongs to American Christian Fiction Writers, Christian Authors Network, and Diablo Valley Christian Writers Group. A Memory Between Us is the second novel in the Wings of Glory series.

My thoughts-

I had the pleasure to read the first book in the series and I enjoyed "A Memory Between Us" even better. I loved both characters and I felt that I was in the 1940's. Ruth is dedicated to her job and caring for her siblings and it is hard for Jack to sway her toward him. Both of the characters can be quite stubborn and they both have problems that they have to deal with. The combat scenes were very realistic and added nicely to the storyline. Although this book is a stand alone novel, I recommend reading A Distant Melody to understand some of the history involved. The author did a great job and I cannot wait to read the next book in the series, "Blue Skies Tomorrow."
